Homebound

For hotels

Lost property, handled
like the rest of your ops.

Homebound replaces the shoebox-and-spreadsheet approach to lost and found with a proper system, built for hotel teams rather than retrofitted from a generic help-desk tool.

What you get

Log it in seconds

Your team records a found item (category, description, size, up to three photos) the moment it turns up. No spreadsheets, no storage-room guesswork.

Housekeeping knows to start looking

The moment a guest reports something missing, whoever's on search duty gets an email with the guest's name, the item, and where it was last seen, before anyone's even opened the app.

One search, everything at once

Found items and guest lost reports live in the same search, so staff aren't flipping between two lists to check for a match by memory.

Guests pay, you don't chase invoices

Once a match is confirmed, the guest covers return shipping through a secure payment link. No expense claims, no petty cash.

Guests type their own address

The guest enters their own shipping details directly, so a wrong delivery traces back to a guest typo, not a front-desk one. We don't keep a copy of the address in our own database either.

Real courier integration

Shipping labels, real pickup windows, and tracking numbers come from live carrier bookings, not prepaid satchels your team has to keep in stock and post by hand.

Common questions

How long does setup take?

There's nothing to install or configure with your existing hotel systems. Create logins for your team and you're logging items the same day.

Is it hard for our team to learn?

Logging a found item takes a few clicks: category, description, where it turned up. There's no manual to hand out.

Does it work across multiple properties?

Yes. Admin accounts can manage several properties from one login, with each property's items and team kept separate.

Does every item have to be mailed back?

No. Every claim can be resolved as an in-person pickup or a mailed shipment. Only mailed claims involve a payment link and a courier.

What if a guest's address can't be quoted for shipping?

There's a manual fallback for the rare address our courier can't quote: your team sets a flat shipping cost and Stripe collects the guest's address directly, so a claim never gets stuck.

What if a guest doesn't pay right away?

There's no time limit. The claim just stays open, and your team can resend the payment link at any point until the guest pays.

What happens if an item is lost or damaged in transit?

Every shipment ships insured, based on the declared value your team sets when the item is logged.

How is guest payment and contact information handled?

Guests enter their own shipping address and pay directly through Stripe's secure checkout. Your team never sees or stores card details, and only the minimum contact information needed to arrange delivery is kept.

Does Homebound integrate with my PMS?

Homebound runs as a standalone system today, so there's nothing to configure with your existing setup to get started. If Opera, Cloudbeds, or Mews integration matters for your workflow, mention it when you get in touch.
