Is this actually free, or is there a catch?+
Logging, search, guest notification and claim tracking are free forever — no trial period, no card required to start. The only money that ever moves is a guest paying a courier directly if they choose to have their item shipped, and that goes straight to the courier, never to your property.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?+
No. There's nothing to enter and nothing that expires. If a guest never asks for shipping, your property never touches a payment at all.
What's the difference between this and a shared spreadsheet?+
A spreadsheet only stores what staff type in — it can't notify a guest, take a photo, or get an item shipped. Homebound replaces the spreadsheet and the follow-up phone calls with one searchable log that does the guest-facing work automatically.
Will this replace the lost and found module in our PMS?+
For most independent properties, yes — PMS lost-and-found modules are usually a basic internal note field with no guest-facing side. Homebound can run alongside your PMS as a standalone tool just for lost property.
